Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani developments in the regional situation, with a focus on Syria and Libya.
A statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the two ministers affirmed the joint tendency to strengthen dialogue between Moscow and Doha in the interest of the political settlement of regional crises, chiefly Syria and Libya.
The Russian Foreign Ministry statement added that the two sides also stressed the importance of continuing coordination to serve the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
