The corresponding decision was made with the support of Rospotrebnadzor and the city parent committee.

"Holidays have been extended until November 8," Potekhina wrote on her official VKontakte page.

According to her, such a decision will allow interrupting the chains of transmission of the coronavirus and avoiding the transition of schools to distance learning "in an environment where the number of sick St. Petersburgers is growing every day."
