Pompeo commented on Russia's election to the UN HRC

"The election of China, Russia and Cuba to the UN Human Rights Council confirms the correctness of the US decision to withdraw from the council in 2018 and use other platforms to protect and promote universal human rights," Pompeo wrote on his Twitter.

Earlier it was reported that Russia was elected to the UN Human Rights Council, it was supported by 158 states.

It was also reported that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke about the undisclosed creative potential of the UN.
