It means that the Korean Council, a local civic group, has filed a request for temporary injunction to suspend the order to remove the girl statue, so we will wait for the court's judgment.

"We will thoroughly weigh the positions of all parties in the complex debate," said Stefan von Dassell, Mayor of Mitte. "We welcome the design of the monument in such a way that everyone involved can coexist."

Prior to the press release, the mayor of Dassen appeared at a rally against the demolition of the girl statue and said, "Let's discuss a harmonious solution."

Earlier, Mitegu ordered that the girl statue be demolished by the 14th after the unveiling ceremony of the girl statue at the end of last month, as opposition from the Japanese side intensified.
