Bibbi Evermark, artist and innovator, is one of the women from Värmland who has succeeded in obtaining a patent for a method of printing different types of images on tiles.
She is pleasantly surprised that Värmland is doing well in comparison with other counties - but thinks that the figure should be even higher.

Second best in Sweden
The Swedish Patent and Registration Office, PRV, has compiled statistics on the last five years' applications for patent and design registration, and it shows relatively uplifting figures for Värmland.
Between 2015 and 2019, at least one woman was included in 24 percent of patent applications.
A figure that is better than the national average of 15 percent - but still only a fifth of the total number of applications.
