The rain interrupted the last two matches of the 7th day of Roland-Garros on Saturday at 7.15 p.m. including, the time to close the roof, on the Philippe-Chatrier court where Novak Djokovic was giving a lesson to Daniel Galan.

On the Suzanne-Lenglen, Garbine Muguruza and Danielle Collins were sent back to the locker room as a deluge hit Paris.

Muguruza was leading 1-0 and 30-15 on his serve in the first set.

They will resume their duel under the roof of Philippe-Chatrier as soon as the Djokovic-Galan match ends, the organizers announced at 8:05 p.m.

At Central, Djokovic and Galan continued to play as the roof closed, but as it took 15 minutes to complete the maneuver and the rain intensified, the game was finally suspended for 15 minutes.

Djokovic was leading 6-0, 2-1 and had an advantage over his serve after 50 minutes of play. On the restart, he won his game to lead 3-1.

The late decision to stop play at Central forced maintenance services to return with a wheelbarrow of dirt and a rake to restore it.

Even Djokovic lent a hand with a few rakes.

The Suzanne-Lenglen was still covered when play resumed at the Chatrier at 7:30 p.m.
