In the New York Times report that ten years out of fifteen years ago he paid no income tax and even received a tax credit for lost business, President Trump countered that he paid millions of dollars and was entitled to a tax credit.

President Trump tweeted, accusing him of "fake news media, as in the 2016 elections, bullying with illegally acquired information and bad intentions."

"I paid millions of dollars in taxes, but like everyone else, I was entitled to depreciation and credit."

"A lot of information is already on record," said President Trump. "Since the announcement of the presidential election, we have long said we can release financial statements showing assets and liabilities."

"It's very impressive," he said of the financial statements. "It also shows that I'm the only president on record to give up $400,000 a year and presidential salary."

The New York Times reported that the income tax in 2016 and following President Trump's election was $750 each year, totaling $1,500, or about 1.76 million won. Reported that they did not pay.

In addition, the New York Times reported that in the early 1990s, business failures resulted in a loss of about $1 billion, or about 1.175 billion won, and was used to receive tax deductions until 2005.

The New York Times said the data were obtained through legal channels.
