Underlined a new achievement for the state .. "Muzn Sat" embraces tomorrow the space in his scientific journey

With the clocks at 3:20 minutes local time tomorrow evening Monday corresponding to the 28th of September and at exactly 11-20 minutes in the morning Greenwich Mean Time ... the Muzn Sat satellite will launch from the Plesetsk satellite base in Russia on its scientific mission to its orbit The decision on Earth on board the Russian "Soyuz" missile sets out a new achievement for the state in the space sector.

The launch of the educational project "MuznSat" is an embodiment of the support provided to this important national sector in which the country has achieved many pioneering global achievements, the last of which is the successful launch of the Hope Probe - the first Arab and Islamic probe to Mars - and confirms the keenness to build the capabilities of young national cadres in the sector. The space that has become very popular with the nation’s youth, whether to study its various specializations in many national universities or to work in its various fields after graduation.

In the next report, the Emirates News Agency "WAM" reviews the march of the educational satellite, or "Cube Sat", "MuznSat", which was developed and manufactured by a group of students from Khalifa University of Science and Technology and the American University in Ras Al Khaimah.

And in February of 2018 .. the Emirates Space Agency, in cooperation with Khalifa University of Science and Technology and the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, announced the launch of a project to develop the satellite "MuznSat" to study the Earth's atmosphere.

She emphasized that this project comes within the framework of the strategic objectives of the Emirates Space Agency to consolidate knowledge progress and promote scientific research activities, and students from Khalifa University of Science and Technology and the American University in Ras Al Khaimah have worked on developing it.

After that, the agency announced a contract with "EXOLaunch", one of the leading companies in providing mini-satellite launch services, to launch the satellite after it was developed by the students of the two universities, taking advantage of the advanced scientific facilities and laboratories in the Yahsat laboratory of Khalifa University. .

The MuznSat miniature satellite includes three scientific devices, which are the short wave infrared spectroscopy that studies the distribution of heat emission gases in the atmosphere .. In addition to a digital camera "RGB" which is a scientific tool to clarify the process of remote sensing and support the accuracy of special guidance By the spectrophotometer .. As for the third scientific apparatus, it is represented in the support subsystems "BUS", which consist of the mechanical structure, power, the main computer of the moon, communication systems, and the guidance and control system.

The "MuznSat" team successfully completed the final tests and examinations regarding its readiness to launch its scientific mission to its scheduled orbit around the Earth. The environmental checks were completed by inserting the satellite into an environment that simulates the space environment and conducting mission scenarios.

Upon reaching orbit, the satellite measures the levels of greenhouse gas emissions and their distribution into the atmosphere. Students of Khalifa University and the American University of Ras Al Khaimah will monitor, process and analyze the data that it sends to the main earth station in the Yahsat Laboratory at Khalifa University and the sub-earth station at the American University in Ras Al Khaimah. The tent.

MuznSat will be added to a distinguished group of satellites developed, owned and operated by the state for various purposes, as the state’s efforts to develop satellites continue with the prominent participation of young national cadres.

This march began in 2009 with the launch of the "Dubai Sat-1" satellite, the first satellite launched by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center for the purposes of monitoring, leading to the "Khalifa Sat" satellite, the first satellite fully developed, designed and manufactured in the UAE, and was launched. From the Tanegashima Space Center in Japan in October 2018, while the country is working on the development of the first joint Arab satellite in the hands of Arab scientists, the "Satellite 813".
