The department said that it obligated schools to develop a response plan to deal with infected and suspected cases of the virus, in addition to issuing a set of preventive measures that must be followed by parents to limit the transmission of infection among students, including the student not attending the school in the event of symptoms appearing on him, And visit a doctor to assess his condition.

She indicated that she had directed schools to form a response team for cases, including a "first responder" nurse trained in the field of contact investigation and dealing with cases of infection and suspected cases, to activate the response plan when any symptoms were detected or suspected of being infected by a student or school staff. While in the building.

The plan requires transferring the case to the quarantine room in the school, and communicating with his guardian - if he is a student - to come to the school, and receive it from the nurse.

She emphasized that the school, in this case, must apply the precautionary measures and inform the concerned authorities directly.

The suspected case, and the individuals in contact with it, will have to undergo a test to detect the "Covid-19" virus, and stay in home quarantine for 14 days, with follow-up education or remote work, if his health condition allows him to do so.

After completing the home quarantine period, the contacts are required to present two consecutive negative results (on the first and twelfth days of the home quarantine period), and an official health certificate issued by the concerned health authorities before returning to school.
