The Dubai Government Human Resources Department and Microsoft signed a Memorandum of Understanding to empower Emirati citizens and enhance the skills of Dubai government employees, in accordance with the Dubai Government’s strategy that aims to qualify its employees, sharpen their skills, and consolidate their expertise in various fields.

The memorandum came within the framework of the "Reyada" program for preparing and empowering the technical, behavioral and professional competencies of the Emirati employee through the exchange of knowledge and experiences between government and private agencies inside and outside the country, if necessary. Work and job shade, according to the specializations that characterize each entity, and targeted to develop the competencies of Emirati talents.

The memorandum was signed by the Director General of the Department, Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, and the Regional General Manager of Microsoft in the UAE, Syed Hashish.

Microsoft will provide the appropriate support, according to the Memorandum of Understanding, in line with the Reyada program and the national “Tomoh” initiative. Business environment, under the supervision of specialized experts at "Microsoft", in addition to providing professional certification courses for them to accelerate their careers, and providing certified technical courses for them in order to advance their career path.

Al Falasi stressed the department's keenness to upgrade the citizen human resource, and to enable Dubai government employees to innovate in various functional areas by providing them with practical experiences, especially in the field of modern technologies and artificial intelligence.

He said that the partnership with Microsoft focuses on providing world-class training to enhance the performance of government agencies. This training and experience provided to Emirati talents will enhance the skills of the future generation, establishing the UAE’s position as a diversified digital center for creativity and innovation.
