• Venezuela: A UN report links Maduro and two generals to crimes against humanity

The

United Nations Human Rights Council

has become this Wednesday the political playing field where the Bolivarian revolution tried, without success, to mitigate the effects of the historic and devastating report of the Independent Fact-Checking Mission.

Up to 40 countries have supported UN officials against the Bolivarian regime, which sought to "crucify" them publicly because its conclusions directly point to Nicolás Maduro and his two favorite generals for crimes against humanity.

Tomorrow, Thursday, it will be put to a vote if the Mission continues its investigations in the South American country.

"It is imperative to investigate and prosecute those responsible for the violations committed,"

Marta Valiñas, president of the Mission

,

insisted on Wednesday

, who confirmed that "the only reason we were unable to investigate 'in situ' was because of the government's refusal Venezuela. We sent six requests to enter the country, as well as requesting official information. We did not receive any response. "

Human rights organizations, such as the Venezuelan Provea, are convinced that the vote will be favorable to continue the Mission.

It depends on the vote of 47 member states, among which is Spain and Venezuela itself

after its controversial election a year ago.

At the moment they have 13 favorable votes.

Jorge Valero, Maduro's representative, on Wednesday unfolded a curtain of accusations against the members of the Mission with a double objective: to discredit the report accusing its members of receiving three million dollars from Washington and forcing the Mission not to continue with its research.

Valero took the opportunity to denounce the alleged

"interventionist and terrorist plans"

against the Bolivarian government, taking advantage of the report, a "legal Gideon to justify an invasion."

Despite the exotic nature of the Chavista argument, most of the countries present have shown their support for the Mission.

The European Union found that the report corroborates the "suspicions" that

crimes against the population are committed

in Venezuela

.

Germany added that under these conditions free elections cannot be held, while France and Portugal reminded Valero that Venezuela is obliged to collaborate with the Council's mechanisms as one of its integral members.

"To deny reality is to deny justice to the victims. To delay justice is to deny it," said the representative of Brazil, while Ecuador supported the call to investigate crimes against humanity.

Peru applauded the bravery of the victims for speaking with the Mission.

In their previous appearances, the presidents of Chile and Colombia were very harsh with the violation of human rights, turned into a systematic plan of terror in Venezuela.

Sebastián Piñera even advocated that the United Nations promote a transitional government in the oil country.

In total, 12 Latin American countries have condemned the crimes against humanity that are committed in Venezuela, whose regime has had the

fraternal support of Cuba

: "The report lacks technical rigor, objectivity and impartiality. We reject this politically motivated document, part of the campaign of discredit led by the US against that brother people and government. "

"The dictatorship was exposed in the Human Rights Council, the world repudiates them. We are facing a criminal system that seeks to sustain itself by force of violations. The countries understand that these are not fortuitous practices, but part of a chain of command that Maduro leads, "explained

Julio Borges, Chancellor of the Presidency in charge

.

Maximum alert

The strategy launched on Tuesday by Maduro surprised the country: a new spiral of conspiracy that includes a future attack by the United States against him.

To avoid this, the "village president" decreed the "maximum alert" and announced the creation of the Operations Command Post, a kind of secret command to protect the Miraflores Palace.

"It's time to defend the homeland, I know why I say it and I know how I say it," the Chavista chief rambled.

The paranoia is of such a level that the leaders of Chavismo have demanded that citizens immediately denounce people with a foreign accent.

An invasion preceded by the Colombian "outpost".

"Duque has placed the Guajira drug trafficking gangs to prepare his group of hitmen to come to attack Venezuela," said the "son of Chávez."

Military, police, militiamen, Bolivarian militants and popular powers are already on high alert.

The Chavista plan continued on Wednesday with a

press conference by Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza and other officials to deny the results of the Mission's report

.

"It is a multiform and multidimensional attack", summarized the chancellor.
