The UAE continues to provide shelter and food assistance to the residents of the West Coast in Yemen.

In this context, the Red Crescent Authority conducted a humanitarian convoy to Al-Alili camp in Al-Khawkhah District of Al-Hudaydah governorate of Yemen, containing 25 tons of food and shelter materials, accompanied by mobile clinics equipped with medical supplies and medicines.

Upon its arrival at the camp, which is inhabited by 1,200 families, the convoy provided food and shelter supplies for all families, while the medical mobile clinics team received and examined the medical cases in the camp, including cases of fever, diarrhea, malaria, respiratory diseases and skin rashes, and the mobile clinics provided free medicines needed to treat widespread diseases As well as making the necessary examinations for early detection of cholera and Corona virus diseases.

The official of the Humanitarian Administration at the Red Crescent said that distributing food baskets and aid to all families in Al-Alili camp aims to alleviate their suffering due to the difficult living conditions in which they live, indicating that the Red Crescent Authority has been distributing food baskets periodically to camp residents for four years.

The families expressed their thanks to the Emirates Red Crescent Authority for its humanitarian support.

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority continues to provide humanitarian and food aid to the residents of the West Coast and those affected by the floods and rainwater, through carefully studied stages and plans.

On the West Coast, the Crescent teams distributed 33,000 food baskets at the beginning of this year, benefiting 231,000 people.

The medical mobile clinics team received and inspected the sick cases in the camp.
