When he
left Bamako at the
beginning of September, in the company of his wife, his doctor and a collaborator, the ex-president of Mali,
Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta
(IBK) hardly boarded the plane alone that took him to Abu Dhabi.
Worrying state
Arrived in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, he was immediately
admitted to hospital
, according to his entourage.
"
The first days, no one could visit him, not even his wife who was accompanying him,
" says an informed source.
His condition was worrying.
He had already
been hospitalized before his departure
for a transient ischemic attack, that is to say a very short stroke, a cerebrovascular accident.
In Abu Dhabi, he carried out a battery of analyzes as he should and the care provided has given him back in shape.
Nothing official about his illness, but last June he had already been treated in the same hospital.
He is currently resting in a hotel in Abu Dhabi.
According to our information, the former king of Spain, Juan Carlos, is in the same palace.
In principle, IBK will return to the hospital on October 12 for a medical check-up.
Before his departure, he had made a commitment to return to Mali.
