In certain districts of Conakry, voters did not rush.

In some distribution centers for voter cards, it was however

the last operation

before

the presidential election on October 18

.

To mobilize

potential voters

to come and collect their cards, "

the heads of sectors who are also members of the commission convey information to the church, mosques, markets and all the public places that the commission has actually started

" , explains Lépou Marteloi.

In the stronghold of the opposition, some voters accuse the Ceni of having deliberately dismissed them since their name does not appear in the lists.

But according to Mamadou, technical assistant at the Céni, the explanation is different: “

The first strong recommendation was to make all voters pass in front of the machines.

Some went back but for those who did not come back, several thousand had incomplete information

 , ”he explains.

A lack of information which explains the absence of some on the lists, according to him.

“

When we finished doing the integration, anyone who didn't have all the information or parts needed were put aside.

There was talk of opening again for people to come back.

Those who have not returned are not in it

(the lists), ”he concludes.

For others, who were able to recover their voting cards, it is a pleasure to be able to participate in the next election.

“

I am happy to have recovered my voter card and to be able to vote again for my candidate.

I am sure and certain that he will win

 ”, testifies, happy, a voter.

In total, 5.4 million voters are called on October 18 to ballot in 14,938 polling stations.
