The two Toyotas dominated the 88th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans after three hours of racing on Saturday leading the race ahead of the two Rebellions, these four cars being entered in the premier LMP1 category.
The Toyota N ° 7 of Conway / Kobayashi / Lopez led in front of the N ° 8 of Buemi / Nakajima / Hartley with about 1 min 20 sec lead after 53 laps of the race.
The two Rebellions followed in one lap with the N ° 1 of Senna / Menezes / Nato ahead of the N ° 3 of Berthon / Délétraz / Dumas.
The last car entered in LMP1, the Enso de Dillmann / Spengler / Webb was in 35th position at eight laps after experiencing mechanical problems.
The rain, the appearance of which was feared, was absent, a sun even lighting up the track under a hazy sky.
Exceptionally, the race takes place in September rather than June after being postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
It also takes place behind closed doors, without spectators.
The start was given at 2:30 p.m. to take into account the shorter days.
