The director of the National Security Bureau, Kitamura, met with India's national security aide over the phone, and the newly established Kan Cabinet has not changed its policy of strategically promoting the free and open Indo-Pacific. He conveyed his intention to cooperate closely.

On the afternoon of the 18th, Director Kitamura had a telephone conversation with India's National Security Adviser Dobal for about 30 minutes.



In this, Mr. Kitamura explained that the newly established Kan Cabinet will inherit the foreign policy of former Prime Minister Abe and will continue to strategically promote the free and open Indo-Pacific.



On that basis, he expressed his intention to continue to cooperate closely with India.
