Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen invites US Under Secretary of State Tsai Ing-wen to a dinner party at 5:42 on September 19

Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen held a dinner party on the night of the 18th, inviting US Under Secretary of State Trick, who is visiting the site, and expressed his hope that Taiwan and the United States would become closer partners.

The dinner was held at President Cai's official residence in Taipei, and the Taiwanese side was attended by diplomatic and economic ministers, as well as the founders of semiconductor giant TSMC.



According to the Presidential Office Building's announcement, President Cai said, "Taiwan-US relations have made a lot of substantial progress in the last few years," and said, "Future cooperation and dialogue have progressed smoothly. I look forward to being a friendly and close partner. "



From the U.S. side, Mr. Crack, who is in charge of economic policy at the Ministry of State, high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Commerce and former high-ranking officials of the Department of Defense were invited. It seems that discussions were held to strengthen the cooperation between the two.



Prior to the dinner, the American delegation met at a hotel in Taipei to meet with former student leaders of the Tiananmen Square incident, activists now living in Taiwan, and Hong Kong people who have moved to Taiwan for political reasons. However, they exchanged opinions on issues such as human rights and democratization.



Undersecretary of State Crack will attend the farewell ceremony of former President Lee Teng-hui on the 19th.
