The Béziers public prosecutor's office has launched an appeal for witnesses after the discovery of the lifeless body of a baby in a waste center in Montblanc, near Béziers, in the Hérault department.

The discovery was made Monday, early afternoon.

An autopsy was performed Tuesday morning by the forensic institute of Montpellier.

According to the results of these analyzes, the death of the female infant would go back to a maximum of one week.
