Thus, a new multimedia section "Natural Finale" has opened on the department's website, which contains historical documents from the funds of the Central Archives of the Ministry, telling about the final stage of World War II.

As noted in the Ministry of Defense, the Red Army made a decisive contribution to the victory over the global enemy, conducting three final major operations in the Far East: the Manchurian strategic, the Yuzhno-Sakhalin offensive and the Kuril landing.

Visitors to the Internet portal have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the details of these operations from declassified war logs, political reports, orders, descriptions of negotiations between Soviet and Japanese commanders, and combat schemes.

In the corresponding section, you can also find photographs from the Soviet-Japanese war, award lists for heroes of the Red Army, information bulletins and newspaper publications for 1945.

In June, the Ministry of Defense published documents on the preparation and conduct of the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow on June 24, 1945.
