—— Sketch of the Chinese team participating in the "Airborne Platoon" project of "International Military Competition-2020"

On August 29, local time, the "International Military Competition-2020" "Airborne Platoon" project entered the fourth stage. Teams from various countries competed fiercely around fixed-point skydiving, and the Chinese team won the second place. In the past few days, the Chinese team members have carried forward the tenacious fighting spirit and went all out in the air and on the ground, demonstrating the excellent technical and tactical level and good mental outlook of the Chinese soldiers.

On the 24th, the "Airborne Assembling and Rapid March" course kicked off the "Airborne Platoon" competition. Accompanied by the dim light of the dawn, teams from various countries drove to a military airport in Pskov. According to the lottery sequence before the game, the Chinese team will be the first to play, arrange the umbrellas, board the plane with their backs, and 3 Mi-8 helicopters take off in turn.

However, the clouds were too thick at that time, and the synthetic wind in the air reached 20m/s, which exceeded the skydiving standard. The Russian plane circled twice over the landing field and then returned to land. My team member did not release the parachute, but waited at the airport for the next instruction.

One hour later, the weather conditions on the landing site gradually improved, and the Chinese team members boarded the plane again and bravely jumped out of the gate from an altitude of 600 meters.

Due to the wind, the players parachuted in a relatively large range, and the last player Yang Shangyuan landed in the grass farther from the assembly point. In order not to affect the assembly time, he rushed to the assembly point with his equipment on his back. He was scratched and bleeding from many places on his body, but he completely ignored it. When all the 22 members of the platoon arrived, platoon leader Zhang Yin quickly reported to the commander: "The Chinese team is ready."

"Go!" With the commander's order, the 1km parachute run and the 10km rush march began. Due to the low temperature, the physical fitness of individual players dropped when they were halfway through the run. According to the requirements of the competition, the gap between the teams in the entire row should not exceed 50 meters. Zhang Yin saw this and decisively ordered the team to adjust its strategy.

In the end, the Chinese team won the first place with a total time of 48 minutes and 33 seconds. Witnessing the outstanding performance of Chinese players, players from other countries gave their thumbs up heartily.

On the 25th, the "Airborne Platoon" project entered the chariot cycling stage. Unlike previous years, this year the Chinese team used a Russian chariot to compete for the first time. It took only three and a half days to be familiar with the situation of the tank, and the competition venue and training venue were quite different, which brought severe challenges to my participating players.

According to the results of the pre-race lottery, the three teams of the Chinese team started in the second and third groups respectively. At that time, the first two car groups temporarily ranked first and second. After the third car group set off, the shooter Takamatsu faced the randomly appeared target and responded calmly. The artillery shot all hits, but when the last machine gun target was hit, no target was seen.

"Put all the bullets out!" At the moment when every second counts, Gao Song decisively fired the remaining ammunition. Reversing, shifting gears, accelerating, rushing out of the shallows, driving over slopes, crossing dirt ridges... The driver Zhang Youwen drove the chariot and rushed to the finish line at full speed.

However, on the deceleration belt less than 200 meters from the end point, the track of the chariot suddenly broke and the vehicle slid forward for more than 10 meters. Without time to hesitate, the three of the crew got off the car and carried out on-site repairs. Everyone raced against time and cooperated with each other to successfully install the track and drove the chariot across the finish line.

After the game, the Russian commander commented on the Chinese team as follows: "Although the overall performance of the Chinese team has been affected due to a vehicle failure, the Chinese team's spirit of not abandoning or giving up, grit your teeth and move forward is worthy of everyone's admiration."

"Every game is a battle, and we must do our best to win!" On the opening day of the "Airborne Platoon" project, the pre-match mobilization of the Chinese team leader Zhao Dongsheng not only echoed in the ears of every player, but also turned into Their actions.
