A second Frenchman lost his life in the two explosions in Beirut last week, according to judicial sources. We also learn that the investigation in Paris entrusted to investigating judges.
A first Frenchman had lost his life in the explosion: it was the architect Jean-Marc Bonfils, installed in Lebanon where he had taken part in particular in projects to restore buildings destroyed by the war.
More than a week after the tragedy of August 4 that left 171 dead and more than 6,500 injured, Beirut remains stricken, with entire neighborhoods in ruins and nearly 300,000 inhabitants in the streets.
