More than 60 people are still missing in Beirut, four days after the explosion at the port that devastated the capital and killed more than 150 people, an official from the Lebanese Ministry of Health said on Saturday. "The death toll stands at 154, including 25 who have not yet been identified," added the official.

Lebanese, French, German, Russian and other nationalities rescuers continue their operations at the scene of the explosion to try to find survivors.

The health ministry said Friday that at least 120 of the more than 5,000 people injured in Tuesday's explosion were still in critical condition.

A fire that occurred Tuesday in a warehouse where 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate had been stored for six years at the port of Beirut caused a huge explosion which, in addition to the deaths and injuries, caused enormous damage and deprived of roof of hundreds of thousands of inhabitants. Thousands of Lebanese are expected Saturday at a large demonstration in Beirut against their leaders whom they blame for this disaster.
