Because nearly 300,000 Beirut residents became homeless as a result of the explosion, according to the capital’s authorities, multiple civil initiatives have emerged to house them and provide them with assistance, as many Lebanese have opened their homes in many areas of Beirut, and in other cities, to families who have lost their homes.
