August 05, 2020New York City has decided to establish quarantine checkpoints in the "key access points" to the city, along the main bridges and tunnels to shield travelers from over 30 states with severe coronavirus outbreaks.
"Travelers arriving from those states will be provided with quarantine information and reminded that it is necessary and not optional," Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a press briefing. "They will be reminded that failure to quarantine is a violation of state law and will result in serious penalties."
