Former Argentina coach Marcelo Loffreda, executioner of the XV of France during the 2007 World Cup, finds the Pumas as manager until 2023, alongside current coach Mario Ledesma, the Federation announced on Monday ( UAR) on its site.

The former center of the national team (46 selections between 1978 and 1994), aged 61, will have a role similar to that of Raphaël Ibanez in France: assistant to Ledesma, he will be in charge of communication, logistics and relations between players and staff members.

Loffreda, who until now worked for the team of the province of Buenos Aires (URBA), takes office with immediate effect and full time, until the next World Cup in France.

It was there, during the previous World Cup organized in France, that he had thwarted the plans of his French counterpart Bernard Laporte by beating the Blues twice at the Stade de France: in the group stage (17-12) then in the match for 3rd place (34-10).
