July 26, 2020 An 11-year-old girl died drowned while playing in the pool in a tourist complex in Herculaneum (Naples). The little girl was rescued by 118, who tried in vain to revive her. It happened shortly after 19:00.The drama happened in a hotel, the 'Punta Quattro Venti'. According to what has been learned, at 19:30 the girl was intent on playing in the pool in front of her family when she drowned. An illness cannot be ruled out.
The prosecutor on duty ordered the seizure of the body and the swimming pool. For the first observations the carabinieri of Torre Annunziata intervened. Extensive investigations also to verify compliance with safety regulations in structures open to the public.
