The department has dedicated two hospitals to deal with cases of "Covid-19", namely: Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Hospital, and Al Ain Hospital.
The cure rate of the emerging corona virus, out of the total registered infections in the country, was 81.5%, while the number of proactive "corona" checks reached nearly four million.

The department succeeded in harnessing scientific research, to contain the virus and limit its spread, by cooperating with universities in conducting dozens of scientific studies and studies on the pandemic, and the launch of smart applications to detect contacts, and the follow-up of people in the insulation and home quarantine, as well as the launch of the service of the home isolation program through the application "WhatsApp AB, and the “Health Workforce in Abu Dhabi” platform, which promoted contribution and volunteering in the healthcare field.
