A wide range of popular services, including Spotify, Pinterest, Twitter, Viber, Vimeo and even the Apple Store, face technical difficulties when used by Apple device owners, the main culprit is Facebook.
The exact number of affected users does not appear to be clear at this time, but more than 15,000 people have reported collectively that they are unable to access Spotify and Pinterest Wise apps, according to theverge.
Problems mostly affect iOS apps, so if you are struggling to access any services on iPhones or iPads, you should know that Facebook is the reason to disable the services now.
According to the information on the Twitter platform, the Facebook SDK package for the iOS system causes the affected services to crash at launch. In fact, now taking a quick look at the status of the Facebook page now reveals that the company is currently dealing with the "increased error rates" on the iOS SDK.
"We are aware of the downtime, and we're investigating an increase in errors in IOSDK that cause some applications to crash," says a message on the Facebook Status Dashboard.
The Software Development Kit (SDK), is a set of software development tools that allow the creation of application software for a specific software package.
This is not the first time that Facebook has disabled iOS applications on iPhones and iPads, and there is no information yet when when these applications will return to work normally.
