Following President Trump, US Secretary of State Pompeo also mentioned the possibility of a summit in North America. He said he hoped to continue the dialogue with North Korea. He said that it could be at a level lower than the summit, and at first, a practical meeting.

US Secretary of State Pompeo said there is a possibility of a summit as well as a working talk with North Korea, if appropriate for the dialogue.

[Pompeo/US Secretary of State (Conference with the State Department's Telephone Reporters): We hope to continue the dialogue with North Korea if appropriate, whether at a lower level than at the summit, or at the gathering of senior leaders.

" "I don't want to mention it," he said, saying that there could be some sort of movement in North American dialogue.

He said he didn't want to tell who, when and how to talk to North America today.

Pompeo says he is continuing to work on a practical dialogue that will bring peace and stability to the Korean Peninsula.

President Trump also said in an interview with the media on the 8th that the North American summit is possible if it helps.

It means that the Trump administration, which is suffering from public sentiment due to the corona explosion, may push for a North American summit in a pre-election event, but it is unclear if North Korea will not respond to the United States.
