Nearly one in two French people (49%) trust Jean Castex as Prime Minister, and 59% trust Roselyne Bachelot as Minister of Culture, according to a Harris Interractive survey for LCI, made public on Tuesday.
According to this survey, carried out in the aftermath of the cabinet reshuffle, less than half of the French (42%) trust "the government to make reforms going in the right direction in the coming months" (including 10% who have completely trust). 58% do not trust.
The confidence margin has increased compared to the previous government. According to a poll conducted on the evening of the second round of municipal elections on June 28, only 37% of French people trusted the government of the day.
It is the French who voted Emmanuel Macron in the first round of the presidential election, who have the most confidence (67%) in the new government. Those who voted Marine le Pen had the least confidence (21%).
Among the personalities of this new government, 49% of those questioned said they had confidence in the new Prime Minister. 74% are among the voters who voted for Emmanuel Macron in the first round of the presidential election, 33% of those who voted Marine Le Pen and 35% of those who voted Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
Roselyne Bachelot is the only minister cited who a majority of French people trust (59%). Those who voted François Fillon are even 73% to trust the former Minister LR, before the voters of Macron (72%), those of Benoit Hamon (61%) and those of Marine Le Pen (53%). Only 45% of Mélenchon's voters trust her.
The French are also 49% to have confidence in Barbara Pompili, new Minister for the ecological transition, and 46% to have confidence in the new Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti.
The new Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin federates the confidence of only 41% of the people questioned.
Survey carried out online on July 7 among 938 people representative of the French population over 18, according to the quota method. Confidence interval between 1.4 and 3.1.
