A week ago, the United States, which celebrated its national holiday this weekend, recorded record casualties, while President Donald Trump continues to underestimate the crisis he has confirmed is "about to end."

The United States has counted nearly 40,000 injuries and 234 additional deaths in the past 24 hours, and Austin, Texas mayor, Steve Adler has made no secret of his annoyance, and has stressed that recovery departments are nearly full.

"If we don't change course, our hospitals may be overcrowded within two weeks," Adler told CNN.

In Bolivia, the new Minister of Health, Edi Roca, was confirmed to have contracted the new Corona virus, while the Bolivian Minister of Presidential Affairs Yerco Nunez was transferred to the hospital after he developed a fever due to complications from Covid-19.

In Brazil, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of over 26,000 new cases of coronavirus within 24 hours, in addition to 602 deaths.

The ministry added that Brazil has recorded more than 1.6 million cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic, with the death of 64,867 people in total.
