A 54-year-old man was convicted of violence and threats with a weapon Thursday before the Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine) criminal court. At the end of 2016, he threatened a prostitute by placing his firearm on his temple, before demanding further "favors". The woman had managed to escape through the window and had alerted the emergency services, recalls Le Télégramme.
Three and a half years after the facts, the accused was sentenced to three years in prison, accompanied by an obligation of care and socio-judicial follow-up for five years. His name is also on the sex offender list, the daily said.
That night, the man had threatened the victim at his home where the latter had invited him for a "performance". Not satisfied with the result, the man became violent and forced the prostitute to new acts.
