"I have not received any instruction from the executive power" in the Fillon case, said Catherine Champrenault on Thursday. She was questioned by the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on the Independence of Justice after remarks by the ex-head of the national financial parquet Eliane Houlette which raised accusations of “instrumentalisation” of justice.

"I have not received in the Fillon case as in all other files under my hierarchical control no instruction from the Directorate of Criminal Affairs and Pardons (DACG), no instruction from the executive power and (…) I have not never relayed a request from the Keeper of the Seals or the executive to influence a procedure, ”said Catherine Champrenault.
