Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the implementation of the plan to annex parts of the occupied West Bank would take place within weeks, and would not include his government's approval to establish a Palestinian state.

This came in Netanyahu's statements during a seminar that brought him together with the leaders of 12 settlements in the West Bank, according to the 13th Hebrew Private Channel.

Netanyahu added that the annexation process will take place within weeks, and will not include the establishment of a Palestinian state, but pointed out that the maps of the annexation have not yet been finalized.

Netanyahu stressed the importance of seizing this opportunity, which had not been available for 73 years, and would not be repeated, especially with the presence of US President Donald Trump, in the White House.

"We should not make Trump think that we are not interested in the plan," he said, referring to Trump's plan known as the Century Deal.

Netanyahu's statements regarding the lack of inclusion in the annexation plan, agreeing to the establishment of a Palestinian state, following accusations by settlers of him accepting the establishment of the Israeli government.

The 12 settlement leaders, whom Netanyahu met, represent nearly a quarter of a million Israeli settlers who live there.

Channel 13, quoting "unnamed" sources from the settlement leaders with whom Netanyahu met, said that the latter had told them that he had sought to implement the annexation plan until before July 1, but for reasons of the previous coalition negotiations, he decided to postpone until next month.

Last April, Netanyahu agreed with the leader of the Blue and White party, Benny Gantz, that the annexation process would begin early next month, and would include the Jordan Valley and all Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Finally, the Israeli Prime Minister announced, on more than one occasion, that his government wants to start the annexation process next July.

Netanyahu pointed out that the area of land that Israel intends to annex is estimated at 30% of the West Bank.

In response, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced, last month, that the Palestine Liberation Organization was in the process of breaking agreements with Israel and the United States.
