“During the day, 44 cases of tree fall were recorded in the city, most of all in the Western and Southern administrative districts, 25 cars were damaged,” RIA Novosti quoted the deputy mayor of Moscow in the capital’s government, Peter Biryukov, as saying.
He noted that there were no victims.
Due to heavy rainfall, two local flooding occurred - in the Leningradsky transport tunnel at the exit when moving from the center to the region and under the Rostokinsky overpass on Prospekt Mira. The effects of flooding were eliminated.
Earlier, Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov commented on the situation with flooding in the region.
