The national secretary of EELV Julien Bayou denounced Tuesday the "anti-climate coalition" set up according to him by the "LREM and LR rights" in Lyon and Bordeaux for the second round of municipal elections on June 28.

"There is an anti-ecological front that is being created", "LR and LREM are organizing an anti-climate coalition to block environmentalists in Lyon and Bordeaux," criticized M. Bayou on Sud Radio.

"Before the epidemic crisis, all the talk was green, you had Gérard Collomb who said: + ecology is fantastic + and now that (the environmentalists) Bruno Bernard and Grégory Doucet in Lyon have made very good scores, he is urgent to block, a bit like the tanks of the Red Army in 1981 ", he quipped.

"In Bordeaux, Pierre Hurmic made an excellent score" and "the straight lines which have absolutely nothing in common, LR and LREM (...) make the anti-ecological front", he continued.

In Lyon, after the explosive alliance Thursday for the metropolis between the candidate LREM Gérard Collomb (divested since) and the local right, Bruno Bernard (EELV), arrived at the head, is preparing to cement an alliance with the left.

In Bordeaux, the LREM candidate Thomas Cazenave finally ranked behind the outgoing mayor LR Nicolas Florian, under an agreement signed Monday evening.

"There is a polarization, you have those who want to block the ecology or the transition and then those who want to do it and in Tours, in Besançon, in Poitiers, we can create surprise and engage these cities on the path of transition, "added Bayou.

"Environmentalists have nothing to do with this government, we want to replace it," also decided the national secretary of EELV about his possible participation in a government of national unity.

According to him, "Emmanuel Macron spoils the country" and "he is missing a historic opportunity that we all expect, that of coming out of the crisis with more social justice".
