The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its continued suspension of Umrah and visits to holy sites in Makkah and Madinah.

The Saudi statement came through the official Ministry’s website on “Twitter”, where it said that “according to the decisions of the rational leadership to implement interim measures to return to normal life, there is a continuation of the suspension of Umrah and visiting in the current period,” according to the official ministry’s account on “Twitter”.

The ministry added, "This will be reviewed periodically according to the pandemic path and the recommendations issued by the competent committee."

The Ministry’s confirmation came after the measures to ease restrictions and the measures taken by the Kingdom to reduce the outbreak of the new Corona virus.

Today, Thursday, implementation of the easing of the measures imposed in the country begins, as citizens and residents will be allowed to roam in all regions of the Kingdom except the city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the isolated neighborhoods.
