The popularity rating of Emmanuel Macron is down by three points over a month and that of Edouard Philippe is up by two points, according to an Ifop study to appear in the JDD , carried out after the start of deconfinement. 39% of French people say they are satisfied with the President of the Republic (34% "somewhat satisfied", 5% "very satisfied"), against 42% at the end of April. 60% of French people say they are "dissatisfied" (31% "somewhat dissatisfied", 29% "very dissatisfied") of Emmanuel Macron as President of the Republic against 57% at the end of April (+ 3%).

Six out of ten French people say they are "dissatisfied" with Emmanuel Macron

The head of state's popularity rating had jumped 11 points at the end of March (43% satisfied), a likely consequence of the coronavirus crisis. The Prime Minister collected 46% favorable opinions (38% of "somewhat satisfied", 8% of "very satisfied"), against 44% a month ago. Its popularity rating maintains the upward trend observed since the start of the epidemic. 52% of French people say they are "dissatisfied" (31% "somewhat dissatisfied", 21% "very dissatisfied") of Edouard Philippe as Prime Minister (-2%).
