Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas threatened to withdraw from the agreements with Israel if it included any part of the occupied territories, and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) called for popular resistance against the "Deal of the Century", coinciding with the visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to Israel.

"We have extended our hands to a just and comprehensive peace on the basis of international legitimacy resolutions, and we still hope that this will be achieved, but we will not wait forever," Abbas said Wednesday in a speech marking the 72nd anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba Day.

Abbas accused Israel of continuing "its violations and settlement crimes," and that it was planning, with the encouragement of the American administration, to annex Palestinian lands.

"We will reconsider our position on all agreements and understandings, whether with the occupying state or with the United States of America itself, and we will be in a position of all of these agreements and understandings if the Israeli government announces the annexation of any part of our occupied lands," Abbas added.

In the same context, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said that the next stage is very difficult, and that the Palestinian leadership will hold an important meeting on Saturday to confront Israel's decision to annex parts of the West Bank.

Shtayyeh said in a statement that Abbas sent several letters to the International Quartet, the Europeans and Russia, in which he called for an international conference based on international legitimacy and international law.

The Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization said that Israel is pursuing a policy of Judaization and the imposition of a fait accompli policy by settling and seizing more Palestinian land.

The secretary of the organization's executive committee, Saeb Erekat, confirmed that the Palestinian leadership will come out with decisions during its meeting on Saturday to respond to the Israeli action. As for the member of the Central Committee of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) Hussein Al-Sheikh, he considered the Israeli move to cancel the Hebron protocol and the agreement signed between the PLO and Israel.

Resistance
And in the Palestinian reaction, the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Ismail Haniyeh called for popular resistance in both Gaza and the West Bank to confront the scheme of what is called the Deal of the Century.

Haniyeh said in an interview with Al-Jazeera for the "Without Borders" program, that unity is the best way to thwart the annexation, settlement and Judaization plan and all the vocabulary of the "Deal of the Century".

Earlier, the Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements refused to participate in the Palestinian leadership meeting on Saturday, and Hamas said in a statement that it believes that "facing this Zionist project through a meeting in Ramallah is a scatter of ashes in Laayoune, and wasting a precious time in which the conspiracy is woven on our people, and repetition For failed experiments. "

Pompeo
This move coincides with a one-day visit by Pompeo on Wednesday to Israel, where he held talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his rival Benny Gantz, one day before their new coalition government took office.

Pompeo said in an interview that the annexation of the West Bank is an Israeli decision that Netanyahu and Gantz have the right to make, but he pointed out that this issue is complex and requires coordination with Washington according to President Donald Trump's plan for peace in the Middle East.

The US Secretary of State also accused Iran of seeking to stir up "terrorism around the world", and said that the US administration will continue its campaign to reduce the Iranian regime's ability to cause any harm to Israel.
