Brazil confirmed 881 new deaths on Tuesday by COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the highest number recorded since the start of the pandemic, and the total number of deaths rose to 12,400, the Ministry of Health reported.

According to the daily bulletin of the Health portfolio, the states of Ceará and Pernambuco (northeast) and Amazonas (north) are the other regions of the country most affected by the new virus.
