The autonomous communities and cities may advance or delay the established time bands by two hours in their territory, as long as their total duration does not increase, according to the ministerial order published this Saturday in the Official State Gazette (BOE).

As explained by sources from the Executive, even in areas that enter phase 1 of the de-escalation on Monday, experts have recommended that the strips be kept for sports and walks with security guarantees, although in those areas citizens will be able to carry out the new permitted activities, such as going to a terrace or to a shop, at any time of the day.

After requests from various regional governments that warned that the strip established for children's rides coincided with those with the hottest, the Executive has decided to leave moving these forks for a maximum of two hours, always maintaining separate the hours reserved for each group.

The ministerial order enables them to do so and they will not need to have authorization from the Government.

As was the case up to now, the time bands will not be applicable in those municipalities and population centers with less than 5,000 inhabitants, where physical activity or walks can be carried out between 6:00 and 23:00.
