Two single respond cars are now reinforcing Region Halland's operations. They should be used when there is an increased need for resources and personnel.

The resources can be used to assess covid-19 suspicious patients' care needs and refer to the right level of care. At the same time, the cars, which are manned by specialist trained ambulance nurses, can also come up as an extra resource in other life-threatening cases that do not have covid-19 suspicion.

- This is an established type of ambulance resource found in many other regions where we can see that their patients are given the opportunity for early assessment and referral to the right level of care. The operation will have this resource function until August and it will be evaluated continuously, says Kenth Ahlin, Head of Operations for the Ambulance Health Service Halland.
