According to Sberbank specialists, the attackers are trying to find out the personal data of customers, and then issue online loans on them.

“In order to lure customers' personal data, scammers can use a variety of pretexts when phoning, including the actual agenda - getting fake passes for moving around the city, invitations to undergo a physical examination or passing an analysis for COVID-19,” RIA Novosti reports press Sberbank services.

According to the director of Rosbank’s information security department, Mikhail Ivanov, scammers use phishing pages that supposedly show customers zones for movement. 

In addition, the specialist notes that attackers can send SMS with the requirement to pay fines for violation of isolation regime.

Earlier, the head of the Zecurion analytical center, Vladimir Ulyanov, in an interview with NSN, assessed the situation with fraud against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic.
