The Minister of State for Higher Education Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, stated that the Ministry of Education - Higher Education Affairs has defined five programs to monitor students ’performance during the testing period and submit projects, with the aim of verifying the performance of each student’s test and project himself without interference from anyone else in its achievement, pointing out that The evaluation is mandatory for all students, and then the Ministry has identified several options for evaluating students in front of higher education institutions, which have the freedom to choose from these mechanisms to evaluate their students.

He added during the remote press conference, that if one of the test methods includes an "open book" system, but the university professor can determine the level of the real student through measuring the results of what is included in his file that monitors his performance during the past years.

Al-Falasi indicated that the student's withdrawal period from the major he is studying has been extended until the last week of the current school year.

He pointed out that the Ministry conducted a field survey of the materials that were converted into electronic, to determine the application of distance education as required and that achieves educational goals, following: "The Ministry is conducting an evaluation of the electronic side implemented by universities."

On vocational training, Al Falasi said: "The Ministry has taken several measures in the field of vocational training for the benefit of the student and the professional cadre in universities, and we have formed a team for each specialty to ensure the implementation of vocational training remotely", noting that some students postponed the vocational training eligible for graduation.

He explained that, according to the legislation, the Ministry allowed universities to convert to electronic, either by 25% or 100% without referring to them.

On the other hand, Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al-Falasi pointed out, he mentioned the coordination between "general education" and "higher education" regarding the acceptance of "secondary" graduates in universities, in light of the cancellation of international tests this year, and the postponement of national exams "IMSAT."

He emphasized that what the UAE has achieved in the field of distance education comes as a result of the state’s efforts in investing in the future and technology, as the state made a decision to provide a two-week spring vacation in order to qualify the academic and technical staff to switch to distance education, and the experience was distinct, especially in higher education because Students in this educational stage are more mature.
