Mohamed Salem Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Emirates Society for Human Rights, told Al-Emarat Al-Youm, details of his recovery from the Corona virus, 14 days after he was infected with his return from the United States.
He explained: "I was accompanying my brother on the trip of treating my father in a hospital in the United States for five months, when we decided to return to the country on the last trip to return the citizens to the state on March 25 last."
He added: “We traveled on more than one trip inside the United States to reach the airport specified for the return trip to the country, where we arrived safely in the country and we were welcomed at the airport and taken to a hotel in Dubai and the necessary medical examinations were made and we were quarantined for a period of 14 days in the hotel ».
He pointed out that «on the second day of stay in the hotel, I started feeling tired and exhausted, and I felt very cold in my body, pain in the bones, vomiting, imbalance in movement, and the inability to carry my mobile phone with my hand as it fell from me whenever I carried it.
He explained: "My temperature rose dramatically and I felt cold and hot in the breath at the time and chills." He pointed out that he had contacted the medical staff and conducted tests to verify the health condition, where the first analyzes showed suspicion of infection (Corona) virus, and I was immediately transferred to the care department in Hospital for treatment.
He added: "I stayed in intensive care for two or three days, as I remember because I was unable to know and determine the number of days due to the seriousness of my health condition and my inability to know the night from the day because I wanted to stay asleep all the time."
Al-Kaabi continued: "I received excellent medical care from the medical staff in the hospital for a period of 24 hours, where the doctors were working all the time to supervise my health," noting that he saw the doctors around him as "angels of mercy" because of the services they provided him In his treatment and saving his life.
He explained, “After almost three days after my care, I was transferred to the medical care department in the men's department, and I stayed in it for about 10 days, as I was suffering from severe fatigue and exhaustion due to the effect of the virus on my body in general.” He continued that after recovering from the virus and receiving it The necessary treatment allowed him to go out and return to his home after further medical examinations to ensure his recovery from the virus, provided that he kept a quarantine at home for a period of 14 days per day.
He added: “Thank God, my house arrived after the doctors informed me that the result of the recent medical examination and survey was negative.” He pointed out that the main cause of his infection with the virus without his father and two brothers was that he had been mixed with a lot of people in the United States and while on the plane. He explained, "Despite my father's weakened immunity and cancer, he was not infected with the virus because of the medical procedures we have taken from wearing the muzzle and gloves and taking all precautions to keep him safe and healthy."
He explained that the health and medical services he received from his arrival in the state and his treatment in the hospital until his arrival at his home were extremely important in the care and care of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and all the competent authorities in the state, and pointed out that all residents must adhere to the state’s instructions and wear masks and gloves and avoid mixing and the importance Spacing to avoid getting infected with the virus or passing it on to healthy people.
