This is stated in a message on the website of the State Service for Emergency Situations of Ukraine (SES).

“Units of the State Emergency Service together with forest guards continue to extinguish fires in the territory of the Korogodsky, Kotovsky and Denisovetsky forestries,” the text says.

It is noted that 379 people and 100 pieces of equipment, including three AN-32P aircraft and two helicopters of the State Emergency Service, are involved in fighting the fire.

Earlier, the acting chairman of the State Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine, Yegor Firsov, spoke about the level of radiation in the vicinity of the fire in the Chernobyl zone.
