It is the County Administrative Board in Kronoberg that compiles the societal impact of the corona crisis in the municipalities. Last Friday, Uppvidinge submitted its state of affairs - and then reported "critical impact" in the elderly care - the most serious degree.
- When it is a critical situation, laws and regulations are put into play, says City Hall Commissioner Anne Hallberg.
The cause was an outbreak of common flu, combined with the fact that a large part of the staff was sick. The municipality has not yet had any known cases of covid-19.
How equipped are you really for what is expected to come?
- Now we have got good control over protective equipment and staffing. Now we are on our toes.
Later this week the municipality will submit a new progress report to the County Administrative Board. Then the level should have been lowered a snap - to "serious impact", says Anne Hallberg.
