INTERVIEW

It is a voice known to the nocturnal listeners of Europe 1, but also a well identified face of the second parts of the evening of France 2: Olivier Delacroix presents the ninth and new season of the show Dans les pommes d'Olivier , with a issue on unsolved cases on the program Wednesday. The one who hosts the free antenna of Europe 1 was the guest of Philippe Vandel in Culture Médias , Wednesday morning.

"Lots of questions" that arise

What France 2 viewers will discover at 10.35 p.m. are four cases that have never been resolved, with their share of distraught relatives faced with the impossibility of finding the culprit (s). "It is often very painful because families have experienced a mourning that is not entirely over, because there is this notion that the person who took the life of the victim continues quietly to live" , he says at the microphone of Philippe Vandel. "Families keep asking themselves lots of questions."

Perhaps more than for the other themes of this confidences show, "these are still very sensitive matters", assures Olivier Delacroix. "The image of the discovery of the murder still remains frozen. And what obsessed us is the quest. It feels like we're almost touching the truth."

Three days with each family

The quest to see the case resolved, which collides with the passage of time without answers, is indeed immense. "Today, I hope that the film of this evening will have repercussions, perhaps that will cause a word", wants to believe the presenter. "By showing the emotion of families, the daily reality of families, we can perhaps provoke the desire to speak. Often, in this type of business, there is a whole bunch of people who are aware, but who are afraid to testify. They tell themselves that they are going to be suspected. When they see the emotion of the families, maybe they will have the reflex to say that they cannot leave them like that. " Between 800 and 900 homicides are committed on average each year in France. In 15% of cases, the culprits are not found.

" It seems important to me to take time to collect the floor "

Four other themes are planned in this ninth season of In the eyes of Olivier : abuse of weakness, foster care, births that upset everything as well as the impact of revenge and rumors in a family.

Each case requires "a bond of trust", insists Olivier Delacroix. "We spend three days with people in general, it allows us to progress in the story and emotionally. It seems important to me to take time to collect speech." As it does every evening from 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Europe 1.
