Coronavirus: Spain to extend containment by two weeks

The Council of Ministers next Tuesday will seek authorization from the Chamber of Deputies to continue, for the second time, the state of alert.

"

Spanish hospitals, overwhelmed by the influx into intensive care units, are starting to see a slight decrease in the number of patients.

Until this extension of "stay absolutely at home" can contain the worst, Spain remains the second most bereaved country in the world - after Italy - with nearly 12,000 deaths and 125,000 confirmed cases.
