The National Police sanctioned a man living in Guadalajara on Thursday night for breaching the restrictions of the state of alarm, having moved to the capital to buy a loaf of bread, according to agents.

Officials intercepted the man inside bus number 27 on Paseo del Prado at 5:15 p.m., as reported by the Superior Police Headquarters to Efe.

The man, a resident of Guadalajara, carried a shopping bag with a loaf of bread from a supermarket. When asked by the agents, he replied that he bought "wherever he wanted" and that the "state of alarm did not go with him."

The National Police made 676 sanction proposals last Wednesday with 25 arrests. Since the start of the state of alarm, 13,507 people have been fined and 257 individuals have been arrested.
